Cool friggin beans. Songtapper.com lets you search for a song, by tapping the rhythm of its words (lyrics).

And the darn thing works.

When you’re clicking, make sure you don’t just tap the space bar but hold it down for what feels like the right amount of time. Like in their example, they hold down the whole of “Jing” and then “gle” “bells”. And not just tapping on the “J”, “g”, “b”.

And after all that, it’s not perfect, but I still had pretty good results.

I had trouble trying it this morning. Their server might be overloaded with people trying to name Donna Summers songs.

Phew, after 3 minutes, it finally back thinking my song was either Back in Black by AC/DC or On the Radio by Donna Summer. It was either right or wrong ;-).
