I loved the first three movies.
The prequel trilogy is proof that George made a Faustian deal with the devil: he borrowed artistic skill during the 70s and 80s, and paid for it with his soul.
I watched episodes 1 and 2 when they came out on DVD.
I (mercifully) feel asleep during each.
About a week ago I tried to watch episode 1 again.
I honestly had to turn the TV off after about 10 minutes; the movie is physically painful to watch.
