Meredith S wrote on my Facebook: Sigh. Totally with you. People writing want ads can be insanely specific on the experience required. If it’s not surgery or rocket science wouldn’t you rather someone who can learn new things and wants to than someone who’s been pressing that particular button for time out of mind?
I generally think of want ads as wish lists. If I have half the qualifications (and hopefully the more important ones, but not always), I’ll consider myself everything they’ve always wanted.
