I’m working on a large, funded project for Burning Man. It is going to involve over 30 flame poofers, 100 full color LEDs, and hydraulic animatronics. There are several folks working on getting it all under computer control. I’m working on building the brain, a program that converts user input into a fantastic interactive fire and light art on the playa! I’ve started working with a programming environment called Pure Data. It’s been going well enough but I’d rather work and discover with a friend. Interested? Give me a buzz. There’s no pay, but it’s going to be a blast!
I have been getting about 200 comment spams per day for a while now. Spam Karma has stopped 100% of them. 30,000 at last count. I get about 3 “please moderate this comment” notices from Spam Karma per week. So far, all of them have been spams as well.
Spam Karma is good. Thanks Dr Dave. I’ve already put money in his tip jar.
Charlotte and I were thinking of going to England on a trip. Instead she’s moving to San Francisco. I was starting to make a to-go list for our trip. Instead of archiving it on my computer, I’ll archive it on my web host… IE: you get to see it
I’m actually saddened by this. It’s like realizing that you are currently seeing the best sunset you’ve ever seen in your life and that no other sunset could ever be as spectacular. From that moment on, there is no need or want to ever witness another sunset.
This from an email that I decided not to send to a friend
Thank you for writing an intelligent reply to my question.
I’m not referring to you at all in saying that I find it terribly frustrating when when a question in the middle of a conversation is deliberately not addressed.
And I find it a pleasure to deal with people that -do- maintain the conversation.
On April 8th I went to Nimby for the East Bay Rats Fight Party. It was intense.
Here is a video with footage from last year’s night promoting this one. I’ve got some pretty wild videos from my camera but the production isn’t nearly as good as this.
