I've been compiling a list of the features I want to have in my future house... if I ever actually buy/build one.
These are all, of course completely speculative but they might give you some ideas for your own home, or give you some idea as to how I think.
A lot of these ideas are pie-in-the-sky. But that's why I've listed them here for myself. When it's time to actually build, I'll remember to consider these ideas and then execute them or just cross them off the list. I wrote this list for myself, not others.
