What is the legislature doing meddling in cable TV? Some are willing to pay extra to watch the Yankees on TV, some people aren't. For those people that do, cable companies have Pay-Per-View and Tier systems to accommodate them.

Since I am not willing to pay extra to watch the YES network, but the state has legislated a $2 increase in my cable bill for said service, I will be expecting a $2 check from the state government each month to cover this increase. If Cablevision figures out how not to increase my cable bill, but they still have to pay the YES Network, then please send my $2 along to Cablevision.
